Experience Next Level Performance: MACH 1® Family of Reels, Rods, and Combos Receives Powerful New Renovation

The MACH 1® line up receives a full renovation, adding new features and new products to be launched at ICAST 2024.

Known for producing high-quality, tournament ready reels, rods, and combos, MACH®, a sub-brand of Lew’s, continues to showcase cutting-edge technologies in the MACH 1 family, including the addition of a new shallow spool baitcast reel and combo.

Unleash extreme versatility and performance with the MACH 1 SS Baitcast Reel. This reel is lightweight and boasts a shallow spool design that's built to excel when casting light finesse baits like small crankbaits, finesse swimbaits, and weightless soft plastics. The MACH 1 SS reel is also great for any target casting or skipping techniques, and is less prone to backlashes because of its shallow capacity spool. Equipped with 7+1 stainless steel double shielded ball bearings, a strong rulon drag system with 15 lb. max drag, and a machine-forged, anodized aluminum spool nestled inside a sturdy one-piece graphite frame and sideplates, the MACH 1 SS is your ticket to next level fishing. The externally adjustable Multi-Setting Brake (MSB) dual cast control gives anglers ultimate control, allowing easy handling of light tackle with precision. The reel also features a 95mm bowed, anodized aluminum handle with Lew’s Combat Grips® providing a comfortable and secure grip. Plus, the anodized aluminum spool tension cap comes with an audible click for added convenience. The MACH 1 SS is available in a 6’9” medium light combo for a great grab and go option for light line or light bait situations, but the reel can be paired with any MACH 1 casting rod to fit any scenario.

An original of the MACH 1 line up, the MACH 1 Baitcast Reel has been re-engineered to provide more power, strength, and durability. Seamlessly blending precision and performance to meet the demands of the outdoors, the MACH 1 Baitcast Reel delivers powerfully smooth operation with 7+1 stainless steel double shielded ball bearings, Lew’s Multi-Setting Brake System (MSB) with internally adjustable centrifugal braking pins and externally magnetic braking with internally adjustable centrifugal braking pins and externally magnetic braking, an upgraded one-piece graphite frame and sideplate design, a double anodized aluminum 32mm spool, high strength solid brass Speed Gears® cut on Hamai CNC gear hobbing machines, and has a 95mm bowed anodized aluminum handle with Combat Grips®. The MACH 1 Baitcast Reel is available as a stand-alone reel or combo, with the combo featuring a premium IM7, 1-piece graphite blank, Winn® Dri-Tac split grip handle with EVA butt, stainless steel guides with aluminum oxide inserts, and Lew’s exclusive graphite skeletal reel seat, with availability in all new length and action offerings.

Another powerhouse of the MACH 1 line up is the efficient and durable spinning reel. Feel the force from within as the 10-ball bearing system works seamlessly with the oversized multi-disc drag system to deliver strength and smooth operation. High strength solid brass Speed Gears® ensure rapid retrieves and the rugged, lightweight graphite body and sideplate work in conjunction with a weight-reducing C40 skeletal carbon rotor to deliver a lightweight, top-tier experience every time. The combo is comprised of a premium IM7 graphite 1- or 2-piece blank with a Winn® Dri-Tac split grip handle and EVA butt, Lew’s exclusive skeletal reel seat, and stainless steel guides with aluminum oxide inserts so the MACH 1 Spinning Combo is ready for anything, at any time.
